Camp Cornish is almost 15 acres of woods with a hill and a meandering creek. Discover nature while exploring the Kokosing Gap, Heart of Ohio, or Mohican Valley Bike/Hike trails. These trails combine to provide 30 miles of bicycling or hiking throughout the area. The 370 foot-long Bridge of Dreams is the longest covered trail bridge in the state of Ohio and can be found on the Mohican Valley Trail. Campers can also use this as a base camp for visiting Ohio’s Amish Country, the Brown Family Environmental Center, and Kenyon College.
Camp Cornish is home to Cornish Lodge, a log cabin structure with a great room, residential-style-kitchen, restrooms, loft, and large fireplace. The lodge sits on the highest point of the property and overlooks the main fire circle and creek. Most of the camp is wooded and additional structures include a small picnic shelter and a primitive camping area.
Though no longer owned by Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland, Camp Cornish is available for Girl Scout use 35 days per year.
