Giving Tuesday 2019
Give the gift of Girl Scouts this #GivingTuesday - December 3, 2019!
What is one thing that all teams have in common? They wear a uniform! Why? Because uniforms help us to feel included, find unity, work together, find our strengths as individuals and learn from one another.
Homeless Families Foundation has been hosting troop 325 since 2004 led by leader, Alonzo Ali. The girls have learned through activities such as: cooking, building birdhouses, sewing and participating in a derby race. Due to financing, the girls went without uniforms for almost 14 years.
In 2018, a generous donation provided a uniform for each of the 35 girls in Troop 325. The girls recite the Pledge of Allegiance and the Girl Scout Law before each meeting, and now they do that together proudly in their uniforms.
Next Tuesday, December 3rd, is #GivingTuesday! Any donations made to Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland on Tuesday, will assist in buying uniforms for girls that otherwise, would not have one. You can help a girl feel included through a donation of $40 to Girl Scout’s today.
Help us ensure that all girls in Girl Scouts feel united through the power of their uniform. Click below to donate now.
