Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland is absolutely thrilled to share that last night at the Columbus Fury game, our very own Theresa Bruskin was honored as the SHEro Spotlight, presented by Tim Hortons.
For more than eight years, Theresa Bruskin has been a cornerstone of Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland, exemplifying outstanding leadership, service, and dedication to girls across Central Ohio.
Beginning as a Membership Manager and rising to Product Program Director in 2023, she now leads the Girl Scout Cookie Program—one of the nation’s most impactful youth entrepreneurship initiatives. In this role, she supports more than 970 troops and 8,100 Girl Scouts annually across 30 counties, helping girls build skills, confidence, and independence.
Under Theresa’s leadership, Girl Scouts in the council sold over 5.8 million packages of cookies between 2023 and 2025, generating vital local revenue. Troops earned $1.6 million in proceeds last year alone, enabling girls to attend camp, travel, earn badges, and give back through community service.
Beyond cookie season, Theresa works year-round to strengthen systems, streamline processes, and equip volunteers with the tools and training needed to succeed—expanding opportunities for thousands of girls.
What truly sets Theresa apart is her unwavering commitment and heart for service. She consistently goes above and beyond to empower others, inspire excellence, and create lasting impact.
Through her leadership, she not only supports girls directly but also fosters a ripple effect of community engagement and service, embodying what it truly means to be a SHEro.
Thank you so much, Theresa for everything you do for our organization, and thank you to the Columbus Fury for the honor!
