Backpacking 201
Grades Completed: 6-Adult
Cost: $100
Dates: Fri. evening, June 10-Sun. morning, June 12, 2026
Spend a weekend learning more about backpacking and putting your skills to the test with a hike and overnight. You'll meet at Camp Beckoning Trails and spend a night in Marlie Lodge planning your meals and packing—we'll provide most gear, like tents and packs, but you can bring your own to practice if you have it! Then, you'll set out for a hike with your pack on the beautiful trails of southeast Ohio. You'll head back to camp to set up your tents at Rainbow's End where you'll cook dinner and enjoy a night in the backcountry. Attend as a solo participant or bring your troop and leaders— you'll select which option works for you when you register!
Smoky Mountain Adventure
Grades Completed: 6-11 grade
Cost: $850, which includes transportation, lodging, meals, and activities.
Dates: Sun., July 12-Sun., July 17, 2026
Start at Camp Molly Lauman as you prepare to set out for the Smokies! You'll spend two days enjoying the rides and slides at Dollywood Theme Park and Splash Country before heading into Great Smoky Mountain National Park to experience the beauty of its waterfalls, peaks, and incredible views. You'll take day hikes, learn from park rangers, and end the days nestled in your tent in a National Park campground. The mountains are calling!
